WILLOW

Willows are incredibly resilient and have a very strong determination to grow. Given the right conditions, ideally near water, they can grow into very impressive trees. They are amongst the first ones to show new growth in spring and the amongst last ones to drop their leaves in the autumn.
In my local park there are quite a few willows growing next to the river. Some of them are coppiced and their shapes as well as their reflections are an endless fascination and inspiriation for me in all seasons.
