MAN-MADE
My abstract photography is in many cases inspired by nature - but man-made structures or materials can be equally fascinating. Whether it is flaking paint or the textures of a concrete wall, it all deserves a close look through the viewfinder and can lead to surprising discoveries. Sometimes the resulting images are out-of-context details of an object with the aim to simplify a form or emphasise a certain colour. Other times they are more complex multiple exposures with the aim to create something new that exists independently from the 'real' subject.
