FROM NATURE
Much of the inspiration for my art comes from being in and with nature. I love the outdoors; the mountains as well as the sea; the woods as well as my back garden. The reflections of a reed on the surface of the water; the dark, impenetrable undergrowth in the woods; the shadow of a tree can all evoke emotions and memories. Through using different techniques, I try to identify and to emphasise these feelings and to translate them into my abstract images. Often, I am inspired by the smaller details that can be overlooked and that are not only a part of the larger picture but embody its essence.
