Reflecting on Venice & Burano

I guess that everybody, no matter whether they have been to Venice themselves or not, knows what 'La Serenissima' looks like. The canals, the alleyways, the gondolas, the palaces and piazzas - Venice must be one of the most photographed cities ever. As beautiful as it is, on my visit I decided that the world doesn't need more of the same and instead looked for a more abstract twist. The reflections of the buildings in the canals in Venice and in particular the colourful houses on the small island of Burano are a fabulous subject for this.
